Cleaner pitch every time

Play single strings near the twelfth fret for the most stable pitch reading.
New strings stretch a lot in the first hour, retune several times.
Tune up to the target note rather than down, it holds longer.
Check intonation by comparing the open string with the same note at the twelfth fret.
